Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist completes Christian Initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism, and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist
(Catechism of the Catholic Church 1322).

In the Eucharistic Sacrifice of Christ in the Mass heaven 'touches down on earth'. The Holy Mass is not what we do for God but rather what God does for us. God feeds and nourishes us with the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Jesus Christ so that we be nourished in the Christian pilgrimage of life. 'For my Body is real food and my Blood is real drink' - what a wonderful Self-giving!
